Zachary High School
Overview
Zachary High School located in Zachary, Louisiana consists of a cluster of one-story buildings that were built in several phases in the 1950's. Access to the site is primarily off of Church Street turning onto Bronco Lane or 40th Street. There is also access from Young Street. The main building is a one-story brick building containing the administrative areas, library, cafeteria, kitchen and classrooms, gymnasium, industrial arts and an auditorium. The new one-story construction will house enough classrooms to replace the existing classroom buildings scheduled for demolition as well as provide additional lab and classroom space to increase overall campus capacity to 1200 students. This addition will also accommodate a new administrative office near the front entrance. Significant changes to the vehicular traffic and parking at the front of the school and student and faculty parking areas near the rear of the campus will also be part of this project.
